Scholarships, Internships, and Collaborations
The Scholarships, Internships, and Collaborations Committee aims to foster relationships with both public and private institutions to carry out joint projects of common interest. These relationships can occur through short-term or long-term collaborations and/or sponsorships, promoting the participating entities. We currently have established sponsors such as the Ramón Areces Foundation and the Department of Culture and Science of the Embassy of Spain in the Kingdom of Belgium.
Thanks to these collaborations and/or sponsorships, we have been able to carry out the following activities:
- Creation of our own travel grant. This financial support, reserved only
for members, was created to encourage participation in seminars, conferences, or courses.
- Promoting diplomatic relations between Belgian and Spanish institutions by acting as an intermediary between
them, through the implementation of internship agreements previously established with Spanish universities/study
centers under the Erasmus+ framework. Thanks to this project, we offer young science students the opportunity to
gain their first work experience in Belgium. We currently have internships with
the Faculty of Sciences of the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) and the University of Castilla La
Mancha (UCLM).
- Promoting the science carried out by Spaniards in Belgium through various media. We mainly collaborate with two
radio programs: “Investigadores por el
mundo” by Antonio Armas on Libertad FM and #CientíficosExterior
on Radio Exterior de RNE (Punto de Enlace). We also participate in the magazine Carta de España from the Ministry of
Labor.
- Organizing events and webinars. This committee is
also involved in organizing CEBE's own events or those included in thematic cycles in collaboration with other
institutions, in order to facilitate their implementation and successful development. You can find all the
information in the news section.
